FLUTE / Chin-Fei Chan
A multifaceted performing artist, dedicated educator and co-founder of C'est Bon Chamber Music Academy, Chin-Fei Chan performs internationally as a solo flutist, chamber musician and collaborative pianist. She received both the Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees in flute performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) under the guidance of Dr. Jonathan Keeble and Alexander Murray. She has performed in live broadcasts on WILL 90.1 and WTTW (one of the PBS member stations in Chicago) and has been invited to perform frequently at the National Flute Association’s annual conventions. Chin-Fei performs with Silicon Valley Philharmonic and is a member of Teal Crane Trio, a group that focuses on original compositions, new arrangements and improvisational works.
She maintains a private studio and is on the faculty of Community School of Music and Arts. In addition to music, Dr. Chan is an AmSAT-certified Alexander Technique instructor. She works extensively with musicians and dancers in helping them gain a deep understanding and approach to prevent injuries while enhancing their performance. -
FLUTE / Victoria Hauk
San Francisco Conservatory of Music
Flutist Victoria Hauk loves exploring the beauty of music through collaboration with Bay Area colleagues and with the next generation through teaching.
She is an avid chamber musician and performs with groups including: One Found Sound, Avenue Winds, Areon Flutes, and Nomad Session.
She holds the 3rd Flute and Piccolo chair with Symphony San Jose. Other orchestras she has worked with include: Opera San Jose, California Symphony, Marin Symphony, Carmel Bach Festival, Vallejo Festival Orchestra, Napa Valley Festival, Midsummer Mozart Festival, Berkeley Symphony, Stockton Symphony, Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, and New World Symphony.
She maintains a private teaching studio and is on faculty at San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Pre-College Division and Sonoma State University.
She received her professional studies diploma at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music studying with Tim Day, master’s degree in music at Lynn Conservatory studying with Jeffrey Khaner and Renée Siebert, and bachelor’s degree in music at the University of Arizona studying with Dr. Brian Luce. -

CLARINET / Ginger Kroft
San Francisco Conservatory
Ginger Kroft is Principal Clarinet with Sacramento Philharmonic and Carmel Bach Festival; and member of Oakland Symphony. She regularly performed with San Francisco Ballet for six seasons and has performed with San Francisco Symphony and Opera orchestras. As a chamber musician, she directs chamber programs at Carmel Bach Festival and has collaborated with Left Coast Ensemble, Bridge Players, ADORNO, and Avenue Winds.
Mrs. Kroft is on faculty at San Francisco Conservatory as a Private Clarinet Instructor, Chamber Music Coach, and Collegiate Performance Seminars. She is a faculty member at Santa Clara University for over 20 years. Her South Bay teaching studio is ClarinetStudio.org.
Mrs. Kroft adjudicates local and national competitions, including MTNA, USIMC, SFCM, SJYS, Gifted Youth, and Berkeley Piano Club’s Van Waynen. She been a featured artist for CAPMT’s State Conference and Fresno State’s “Clarinet Day.” Mrs. Kroft has led masterclasses at University of Kansas, University of the Pacific, College of San Mateo, UC Davis, and San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
Giving back to the music community, Mrs. Kroft served on the State Board of Directors for CAPMT, on Regional Board of Directors for MTAC and CAPMT, and as MTAC Certificate of Merit Woodwind Chair for four years. She’s mentored and presented for Note Love, a non-profit providing free music lessons by experienced high school students.
Mrs. Kroft is a Vandoren International Artist, playing M15 mouthpieces & Traditional reeds. Her degrees, with distinction, include Northwestern University and San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

OBOE / Adrienne Malley
Adrienne Malley currently performs as second oboe/English horn of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and third oboe/English horn of the Marin Symphony. She frequently performs with many other ensembles including the San Francisco Symphony, Symphony San Jose, New Century Chamber Orchestra and other regional orchestras. An avid chamber musician, she is a founding member of the woodwind sextet, Frequency 49, and a past member of Avenue Winds and the Divisa Ensemble.
Adrienne maintains a pre-collegiate studio in Redwood City and is on faculty at Santa Clara University. She coaches young musicians in local youth organizations and has presented music education performances throughout the Bay Area.
Adrienne received her Master of Music from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music and her Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance from the University of Michigan School of Music.

BASSOON / Brian McKee
Dr. Brian McKee is a bassoonist, educator, and arts administrator based in Salinas, California. He serves as the Operations Manager for the California Youth Symphony where he manages the daily operations of the program’s seven ensembles. He was previously Program Director at Youth Orchestra Salinas, and served on the graduate student advising staff at the University of North Texas College of Music. He maintains an active performing and teaching career, and performs regularly with the choral-orchestral ensemble I Cantori di Carmel among other regional ensembles. His doctoral essay, "A Pedagogical Exploration of Selected Art Songs by Franz Schubert Transcribed for Bassoon" explores his transcription process of art songs taken from Franz Schubert’s "Die Schöne Müllerin" and notes similarities paralleling vocal performance and lyrical bassoon playing. He holds degrees in music from the University of Miami, Arizona State University, and University of Oregon.

HORN / Daniel Wood
San Francisco Conservatory
Daniel Wood is a founding member of the Quadre horn quartet (quadre.org) that has toured extensively since 1998. He received his training from the University of California, Los Angeles after growing up in the Bay Area. His compositions favor small groups such as brass, wind and string chamber music, steel drum ensembles and jazz combos with commissions from Ceora Winds, Presidio String Trio, and Avenue Winds. His music and playing can be heard on Quadre’s 4 albums with guest horn player James Thatcher, Grammy award-winning flutist, Molly Barth, and soprano Elizabeth Weigle. He is also a member of the Avenue Winds and the Teal Crane Trio both focused on championing new work. He has written and performed solo shows as an improvisational musician including “Life on an Island” and “Brother, can you spare a Dime.” Mr. Wood has lectured on the Business of Music for the American Federation of Musicians, San Francisco Conservatory, Eastman School of Music, University of Oregon, and international horn conferences. He runs Solid Wood Publishing and is the chair of Musicianship and Composition at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Pre-College Division.
